Hydraulic Cylinder Maintenance and Servicing Methods
I. Daily Maintenance Points
Oil Management
Use hydraulic oil that meets viscosity requirements (ISO VG46 anti-wear hydraulic oil is recommended). Regularly replace and clean the system filter to maintain oil cleanliness ≥80μm.
Control oil temperature below 50℃ to prevent high temperature from causing seal deformation and failure.
Seal Check
Check the piston rod dust seal and all seals daily. Replace immediately if oil leakage or aging is found.
The piston rod surface should be wiped with hydraulic oil weekly to prevent sand and dirt from entering the seal.
Protection of Moving Parts
Apply anti-corrosion grease to the exposed part of the piston rod to prevent oxidation and rust.
Before operation, retract the piston rod without load more than 5 times to exhaust air from the system and preheat.
II. Regular Maintenance Items
Monthly Inspection
Tighten bolts and joints, lubricate pins and moving parts to prevent abnormal wear.
Check the straightness of the piston rod. If the bending deformation exceeds 20%, it needs to be corrected and repaired.
Quarterly Maintenance
Disassemble the cylinder and clean the inner wall. Check the wear of the piston and cylinder barrel. Replace if the clearance exceeds the limit.
Replace the buffer device seals and calibrate the throttle hole effectiveness to reduce impact noise.
Annual Overhaul
Disassemble and clean all components, replace all seals and guide bushings.
The parts of the piston rod with chrome plating peeling off need to be polished and re-plated to restore the surface roughness Ra≤0.4μm.
III. Fault Prevention Measures
Risk Point Solution
Oil contamination Use a three-stage filtration system and use a precision filter when adding oil.
Abnormal vibration Check the throttle valve of the buffer device and adjust the buffer clearance to the range of 0.5-1mm.
Creeping phenomenon Exhaust air from the system, clean the proportional valve filter element, and check whether the hydraulic oil viscosity meets the standard.
IV. Special Maintenance of Key Components
Guide bushing: Check the wear of the bronze bushing every 2000 hours. Replace if the radial clearance >0.15mm.
Piston assembly: If the surface scratch depth >0.05mm, it needs to be ground and repaired to avoid scratching the cylinder barrel.
Accumulator: Check the nitrogen pressure every six months. If the deviation exceeds 10%, nitrogen needs to be added.
Maintenance cycles and operating standards should refer to the equipment manual and be dynamically adjusted according to the actual working conditions. In case of sudden leakage or pressure abnormality, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection to avoid operation with faults.
